On Monday morning Greenwich Police Lt Patrick Smyth emailed news outlets with details about the armed carjacking that took place on Sunday. He said the Greenwich Police Department continues to investigate a report of the carjacking in the area of Clapboard Ridge Rd and Khakum Wood Road that occurred at approximately 9:45 am. The victim pulled up to the front gate at Khakum Wood Rd, when a dark colored sedan pulled up behind him.  Two male suspects, both possibly Black or Hispanic, wearing dark colored hooded sweatshirts exited their vehicle and displayed what appeared to be a handgun.  They proceeded to take the victim’s cell phone and his BMW M3.  There is no evidence of any shots being fired. The victim in this incident was specifically targeted while he was traveling out of state and was not chosen at random by the perpetrators.  The suspects followed the victim back to Greenwich and committed this crime. The last known location of the suspects' and victim’s vehicle was in the area of Yonkers, NY. Police said while the incident involves an ongoing investigation, there is no threat to the public at this time. Original story: Greenwich Police Investigate Mid Country Armed Carjacking
